Lest We Forget

Together as a school community we gathered to honour those who fought for our freedom.
After the ceremony, we took time to reflect independently about the assembly and about
what Remebrance Day means to us.

What really touched me was how many people died because of war and how many people have to leave their families to protect their home and all of their loved ones.

Something that touched me in the ceremony today was the video with all the soldiers that passed away in war. Their sacrifices gave us our freedom!

I really liked how they showed our 6 word memoirs because we worked very hard on them.

C'est triste que plus de 66 000 personnes sont mortes pendant la guerre.

Merci. Thank you. I thank you for sacrificing your lives for our community. You did a lot and we will remember forever because 1 day isn't enough to remember.

I really appreciated the hard work that went into the ceremony and the effort that the band did to do that amazing O Canada song. Thank you Ecole Ness. The ceremony was fantastic.

I didn't know that Indigenous Remembrance Day was a thing. Respect to all the soldiers.

I appreciate how they mentioned people who didn't get honoured by their hometown because they didn't know.

Today I learned about Indigenous Day.

Thank you for serving our country and fighting for our freedom.

Today made me think a lot more about all the people who served our country. I want to say thank you to all the people and families who fought for our country.

My great-Grandma survived World War II.

I learned that there was an Indigenous Remembrance Day on November 8th to remember all the Indigenous people that were in the war.

I am grateful for all of the people who fought for our country and our freedom and risked their lives just for us.

I really appreciated the music and I really liked that they mentioned it was Indigenous Remembrance Day because it's nice to be celebrating not just 'ours' but both.

I am very grateful for all the people who saved Canada. Also the people who fought for our freedom.

I learned that one great or small act can change the world. It takes brave men and women to say I love my country, I will fight for it.

I am thankful for those who served for our country and fought side by side for our freedom.

I would like to thank all the soldiers that risked their lives for our country and for us. Merci.
