The Last Monday!

Happy Monday!
Happy last week of school!

We started our day with the last of our Reader's Theatre presentation,
Pourquoi les moustiques bourdonnent les oreilles.
The group did a great job on their word wall and presented their plays with expression and confidence.  Félicitations! :)

Next, in Science, we spent some time learning about a Bernoulli's Principle.
We learned that a curved edge/side, such as we see on an airplane or a bird's wing, will force air to flow faster over top than underneath an object, thus creating two different zones of pressure.
This difference of pressure is what creates LIFT!

We then spent some time outside, further exploring Bernoulli's Principle. We started by comparing the shape and size of different frisbees and discussed how that might affect the flight of the disc.
We then threw the disc both right-side up and upside down to see if we could notice a difference.

We ended the morning with an action group shot!
(Mme Careen only got hit with one frisbee in the taking of these pictures!)

Have a great afternoon!
