Happy Wednesday, learning friends!
After starting our day outside for our annual spring community clean-up, we got straight to work being super-scientists! Our goal today: to prove that air has a mass!
Working in teams of three, and using a 2L plastic bottle and a pressure pump, we pushed air into our bottles (in increments of 25 pumps) and then weighed our bottle using an electronic scale.
Slowly but surely, we saw the mass of the bottle increase! Wow!
After we completed the experiment, we worked in our groups to discuss and answer 4 observation questions to help solidify our understanding of the experiment's purpose.
Great experimenting this morning, team! :)
